Outdoor Adventures

Chattanooga is home to a wide variety of outdoor adventures. Outside magazine recently named it the number one 鈥渦ltimate dream town鈥� for outdoor living. Take advantage of our close proximity to Chattanooga and our tremendous mountain location by:

• cycling
• hiking to waterfalls
• mountain biking
• rock climbing
• white water rafting
• paddle-boarding
• and for the really adventurous: off the Lookout Mountain cliffs, or a polar bear swim in January

 

City Life

Explore the dynamic city of , just 5 miles from campus. A thriving business district, walking bridge, visual and performing arts venues, a local IMAX, and abundant leisure activities make Chattanooga one of the nation鈥檚 most livable, walkable, and innovative mid-sized cities.

 

Dining Out

You will find dining hotspots that fit every budget and offer plenty of fun and excitement. These include local favorites such as Greyfriar鈥檚 Coffee (alumni-founded) and (alumni-owned), as well as and . You can hang out with friends at or relax for a picnic at Coolidge Park.

 

The Arts

Many opportunities to enjoy the arts exist both on our campus and in the Chattanooga community. AmericanStyle Magazine recently ranked Chattanooga one of the top 25 artistic mid-sized cities, saying, 鈥淐hattanooga is a city that simply lives and breathes art.鈥� Many concert halls, art galleries and museums, and performing arts venues are only a short drive from our campus. 

Additionally, the College puts on art exhibits, theatre productions, and concerts throughout the year. 

 

Sports and Recreation

On-campus sports range from competitive intercollegiate athletic teams to club sports to intramural competitions. You can show your school spirit by supporting for men and women. The Covenant Scots compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. The majority of Covenant students participate in , and there are plenty of off-campus sports opportunities as well, such as taking in a baseball game or a soccer match.
